A large number of new genera of microfossils have been found in Ediacaran (Sinian) system in South China

 

在華南埃迪卡拉系(震旦系)新發現大量微體化石新屬種和首次在中國出現的屬種,極大地豐富了該時期生物群面貌,為利用微體化石開展古大陸之間的生物地層對比提供了寶貴的化石材料,還新發現一些保存精美,形態特殊,可能具有重要生物演化意義的化石。

 

A large number of new genera of microfossils and genera first appearing in China that were found in the Ediacaran (Sinian) system in South China have greatly enriched the biota during this period, and provided valuable fossil materials for biostratigraphic contrast among ancient continents with microfossils; besides, some new fossils which are beautifully conserved, morphologically distinct and likely to be significant in biological evolution have been discovered.

貴州南盤江三疊紀及云南羅平生物群發現支撐形成國際三疊紀生物群研究基地

 

The discovery of Triassic biota in Nanpanjiang Basin, Guizhou and Luoping biota in Yunnan has supported the formation of international research base of triassic biota

 

在貴州南盤江盆地早三疊世幻龍和楣齒龍脊椎動物化石新發現、羅平生物群鱟類節肢動物研究和云南圓蟹屬瘤點云南圓蟹種、羅平中華千足蟲化石新屬種等重要進展,以及大量古生物化石的發現,進一步擴大了南盤江三疊紀(羅平、關嶺、興義等)生物群分布范圍,其豐富程度幾乎涵蓋了全球已知三疊紀海生爬行動物所有類群,構成較完整的生物-生態鏈演化序列,對研究二疊紀生物大滅絕之后的生物復蘇與輻射具有重要意義。

 

New discovery of early Triassic nothosaurus and pterodactyls and other vertebrate fossils in Nanpanjiang Basin, Guizhou, study on the arthropods such as horseshoe crab of Luoping biota, important progress in new genera of fossils such as Yunnan cyclocoeloma tuberculata and Luoping Chinese millipede as well as discovery of a large number of paleontological fossils has further expanded the distribution of Triassic (Luoping, Guanling and Xingyi) biota in Nanpanjiang Basin, almost covering all the Triassic marine reptiles in the world, constituting a complete biologic-ecological chain evolution sequence, and playing a significant role in studying the biological recovery and radiation after Permian mass extinction.
